Co-creator and star Bill Hader confirmed the news, speaking of a bittersweet ending to the story. Hader also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to create and star in the series, calling it an “amazing journey.”
“Barry” follows the story of ex-Marine turned enforcer Barry Berkman, played by Hader, who travels to Los Angeles to complete a job and ends up finding his passion for acting. As he tries to put his criminal past behind him, he becomes entangled in a web of dangerous associates and personal drama.
