Chris Martin, from Coldplay, appears in a drum rehearsal of the USP Law course

Singer Chris Martin, leader of the band Coldplay, appeared by surprise at the USP Law course drum rehearsal and made the members happy. The moment was filmed and shared online.

The rehearsal took place near Ibirapuera Park. According to reports, he was passing through the region when he heard that sound and decided to stop to see what happened. After dancing and congratulating the students, he took pictures with all of them.

Last weekend, the band started the marathon of 11 concerts that they will play in Brazil. The “Music of the Spheres” tour, which celebrates the band’s latest album, also features their biggest hits and fan favorites.

In a show at Morumbi, Martin showed himself to be a first-class showman. He sat on the stage floor to sing “Paradise”, one of the band’s biggest hits, but soon had the crowd jumping. At the end of the song, he asked the audience to be quiet, gesturing with his finger to his mouth, controlling the volume of the voices of tens of thousands of people — he wanted to make a kind of progressive chorus to end the song masterfully.

“We are very happy to be here with you, thanks for the effort, even with the rain, the traffic and all the other problems. Gratitude, let’s sing together”, he said, in Portuguese, while singing “The Scientist” on piano.

The band queued hits. They performed “Viva La Vida”, “Hymn for the Weekend”, a partnership with Beyoncé, and later “Let Somebody Go”. On this track, Martin invited a female fan to sing with him on stage. It was an emotional moment, with the audience quiet and mesmerized by the duo.
