‘It was like an older brother’, says Rodolfo after Canisso’s death

Former lead singer of the rock band Raimundos, Rodolfo Abrantes, 50, took to social media to mourn the loss of bassist José Henrique Campos Pereira, Canisso, who died aged 57 after a fall.

Rodolfo says he’s out of Brazil and woke up to a series of messages. “I had contact with his wife and I just cried with her. Canisso occupied a very important place in my adolescence, he was like an older brother. Because he was much older, he gave me the attention of a friend”, he posted.

Guitarist and singer Digão was another member to talk about death. “We laughed, fought, mocked, worried, lost, won and always in the fight. Millions of stories and jokes that will be without their best teller. It is very difficult to write and describe”, he published in a post on the networks.

The musician sent strength wishes to the bassist’s wife and family and said a prayer to ask the heavens to protect his friend.

In an announcement on the band’s official networks, at the end of this Monday (13), the statement informs that the farewell to the fans will take place next Wednesday (15), from 10 am to 4 pm, at Ginásio José Corrêa (Avenida Guilherme P. Guglielmo, 1,000, in Barueri, São Paulo).
