The criticisms that Jenna Ortega, 20, made to the script for the series “Wandinha” did not go down well in Hollywood. Producer Steven DeKnight released the verb against the actress on his Twitter after the protagonist of the Netflix production revealed that she even changed her character’s lines for not agreeing with the text.

“I love talking to actors about their lines/stories. But as an essential part of it, they don’t have the whole picture (on TV) of where the story is going or why certain lines are needed for the whole thing to make sense,” began the screenwriter, who has works such as ‘Buffy: The Vampire Slayer’ (2001 – 2002) and ‘Circle of Fire: Uprising’ (2018).

Steven quoted Jenna Ortega in his rant: “She’s young, so maybe she doesn’t know better yet (but she should). She also has to ask herself how she would feel if the writers gave her an interview and talked about how difficult she was and how she refused. to present the material”, he commented, then added: “This type of statement is beyond spoiled and toxic. I love her work, but life is too short to deal with people like that in the market.”

Many Jenna Ortega fans have not forgiven DeKnight, who received some expressions of support from other producers and the episode became a controversy. This Wednesday (15), the producer defended himself from the confusion and praised the talent of the actress, who is in the cast of the film ‘Scream 6’. “Despite my anger at what she said publicly, I made it very clear that I think a phenomenal talent. She deserves all the accolades she gets in that regard.”
