This summer, Release Athens and SNF Nostos of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) join forces, presenting three great festival days on two stages. On Tuesday, June 20, they welcome Central Cee, the “hottest” name in British (and not only) hip-hop today, with a large audience in our country as well.

The 24-year-old London rapper will be the headliner at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) Expo, on a big festival day where, as already announced, the corresponding position in Water Square will be occupied by the Spanish superstar Rosalia.

Soon, more names will be announced, both for this day and for the other two that will take place in the context of this collaboration. Release Athens X SNF Nostos takes place on June 20, 21 and 23 and brings big names of the world and Greek scene to two stages, in the Square of Nero and the Clearing of the SNFCC, giving us the opportunity to experience an exciting concert three days that is an integral part of Release Athens 2023.

Central Cee was born in London in 1998 and started recording music at the age of 14. Within a decade, he has managed to become the most famous British rapper, with over 8 million followers and more than 2 billion streams. The release of his first mixtape, titled ‘Wild West’, was an artistic and commercial triumph. It will become the No. 1 selling UK debut with two Top 10 UK singles, he will be nominated for three Brit Awards and win two GRM Daily Awards, in the Best Male Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year categories. In 2021, he will close in the best possible way as his UK tour sold out in just two minutes.

At the beginning of next year, in February 2022, his second mixtape, “23”, will be released. His keen eye and social commentary, alongside groundbreaking production, have already established him as one of the most distinctive musicians of his generation. In 2023, he will embark on a major worldwide tour, with scheduled appearances at all the great festivals in Europe (Primavera Sound, Reading, Glastonbury).
