Cid Moreira, 94, posted a video on Instagram this Tuesday (4) showing that he has been on dialysis every night at home. Fátima Sampaio, the presenter’s wife, said that about a year ago a problem was detected in his kidney and the need to carry out the procedure.
“Hello everyone! How are you? All in peace!? I want to share with you how my nights have been! It is necessary to understand that life is made of phases and this is mine now! As my dear Fernanda Montenegro said, ‘I am for dessert” and I feel great and grateful for that,” he wrote.
Initially, Cid Moreira was undergoing hemodialysis at the hospital. Later, with the help of Fátima, who took a course at the hospital to learn how to use the machine, he started dialysis at home.
“At first, we were scared and worried. But when we went to the hospital, we saw people of all ages who, for some reason, needed to do this. […] It’s just so you know that life goes on, it can be comfortable to live like this, because he does it at night,” said Fátima Sampaio.
Last year, Cid Moreira made the news after the presenter’s children filed a lawsuit to ban the presenter. Furthermore, they accused Fatima of keeping her father in private prison. In a video on social media, the journalist denied the charges against the woman and said that she takes care of him.
