Liv Tyler will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2024, reprising the role he played 16 years ago.

More specifically, the 45-year-old actress will once again be the scientist Betty Ross for the fourth Captain America movie, which will be titled “New World Order.” This marks Tyler’s return to the franchise after 16 years since her last appearance in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.

In the upcoming superhero film, Liv Tyler will play the daughter of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a character originally played by the late William Hurt. Hurt’s character has appeared several times in Marvel Studios movies, including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame, Infinity War, and most recently the Black Widow movie. As for the role of Tyler’s father, Thaddeus Ross, Harrison Ford will take over.

As for ‘Captain America: New World Order’, it is the 34th film of the MCU, with Anthony Mackie returning to the role of Sam Wilson and continuing to wield Captain America’s shield. The film, due for release in May 2024, is a sequel to the Disney+ series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” It will be directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox, Luce), written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore. The rest of the cast consists of Carl Lumbly, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas and Tim Blake Nelson.
