Today, Tuesday, October 21st, the new specialized vocational training program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) with the subject “Gypsterboard and Oil Painting Craftsman” begins, at the Malandrino Reservation Store.
The program, lasting 250 hours, is aimed at 20 prisoners and is implemented under the supervision of the Lifelong Learning Center (LLL) Lamia of the DYPA. It is part of the cooperation of DYPA with the General Secretariat of Anti-Criminal Policy of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, with the aim of creating opportunities for education, employment and social reintegration for people in detention.
Upon completion of the program, participants will have acquired the necessary skills to work as plasterboard and oil painters. They will be able to select the appropriate materials, make plasterboards, prepare surfaces for oil painting, design and implement ceiling and wall constructions, while applying the basic principles of hygiene, safety and professional ethics.
DYPA continues to prioritize the design and implementation of innovative vocational training programs aimed at prisoners, with the aim of strengthening their knowledge and skills in high-demand specialties and supporting them in a new, creative start after their release.
