Chris Hemsworth has said he will take on fewer roles in the future, but will not retire from acting after learning he is at very high risk of developing Alzheimer’s later in life.

But Page Six, citing people familiar with Hollywood, claims that the actor’s schedule isn’t that busy going forward.

The Australian actor has four upcoming projects – including starring as ‘Thor’ in an upcoming ‘Avengers’ sequel and an untitled Hulk Hogan biopic. But after those projects, says the source, “she doesn’t plan to take on many roles because [έμαθε για τον υψηλό κίνδυνο] to get Alzheimer’s.”

While Chris told Vanity Fair that he’s “not talking about retirement by any means,” Page Six’s insider says it looks like he’s headed that way.

Hemsworth discovered he was at high risk for the disease while filming the National Geographic and Disney+ documentary Limitless.

Recently in his statements he had pointed out that what he learned is not a diagnosis but a predisposition.

Hemsworth said that learning he was “eight to 10 times more likely” to develop Alzheimer’s “shaken me up and I want to take some time off.”

“I’ve completed the things I was already contracted to do,” he said, adding that he plans to “go home and … have a good period of time off and everything will be simpler. To be with the children, to be with my wife.”
