The actress was chosen for her first English-speaking role
Jang Ho-yeon cast in her first English-language role co-starring Cate Blanchett. After her screen debut in the Korean series “Squid Game” of Netflix, the 28-year-old South Korean actress and model will appear in the upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries directed by Alfonso Cuarón titled “Disclaimer”.
Cate Blanchett stars in the thriller – based on Renee Knight’s 2015 novel of the same name – as Katherine Ravenscroft, whose career as a successful television journalist and documentary maker is based on exposing abuses by respected institutions.

Jang Ho-yeon will play Kim and it will be her first English-speaking role. “I like to challenge myself,” the actress recently said about the upcoming role in an interview with GQ. “And trying to speak English well and at the same time perform well in a role is very challenging – maybe very difficult. But I have this desire to push myself to the limit.”
During this time, the actress is attending private lessons to improve her English, according to the magazine.
