BBB 23: Boninho goes back after announcing Paredão with reverse vote

by

After Marvvila was eliminated from BBB 23 in a Paredão with a reverse vote, director JB de Oliveira, Boninho, decided to move social networks — and he succeeded. This Friday (7), he announced that the next Paredão would repeat the same dynamic as the previous one: public voting for the permanence of participants, not for leaving. A short time later, he deleted the posts and said the reverse vote was just a joke.

Immediately after the reverse vote was announced, the public criticized the decision as it came after confirmation from the leader and the Joker Power. Netizens accused the program director of doing this so that Bruna Griphao would not be eliminated.

Boninho, then, deleted the publications where he confirmed the dynamics for the next Paredão. He recorded a video on Instagram laughing and saying: “Did someone say reverse vote? Not me, not me!” He added in the caption: “Who was the crazy person who spoke in a reverse vote after the leader and the joker power? Who was it? April 7!”. Boninho also went back on Twitter, where he published the same caption text.

The adoption of a voting model for remaining in the program is unprecedented in Big Brother Brasil, which usually uses the public to choose who will leave the house, not who will stay. The BBB’s competing reality, A Fazenda, is the one that usually uses reverse voting dynamics.
