The award winning actor Jamie Foxx (Jamie Foxx) had to be taken to hospital of Atlanta after an unspecified medical emergency, as the actor’s family revealed.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, has experienced a medical complication”the family said in a statement that was published on the personal account of his daughter, Corinne Foxx (Corinne Foxx) on Instagram, but no further details about his health and exact condition have been released.

“Thankfully, due to prompt action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery. We know how loved he is and we appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time.” he added.

Sources told TMZ the situation was “quite serious” however “he’s communicating and that’s good news». The actor’s representative, Alan Nyerob, declined to share anything beyond the family’s Instagram post.

“Nothing more at this time than what has been posted,” he told CNN via email.

Notably just a few days ago had started shooting in Atlanta for the movie “Back in Action” in which he stars alongside Cameron Diaz.

Directed by Seth Gordon, the cast of the film is completed by, among others, Andrew Scott and Jamie Demetriou.

The actor has two daughters, Corinne and Analais.
