Big Brother Spain contestant sentenced to 15 months in prison for sexual abuse

After a little more than five years, the Justice of Spain released this Monday (17) the sentence of a former participant of Gran Hermano, accused of sexually abusing a colleague in confinement. José María López was sentenced to 15 months in prison for the crime against his then-affair Carlota Prado Alonso, in the early hours of November 4, 2017. Big Brother Español is broadcast on the Telecinco network.

José María López, who at the time was disqualified for displaying ”intolerable conduct”, will also have to stay away from and without communication with the victim for the next four years, in addition to compensating her in the amount of US$6,570, a little over BRL 32,487. Carlota will also receive the same amount as the program’s production as compensation for moral damages.

It is worth remembering that in the current edition of the BBB, MC Guimê and Antônio Cara de Sapato were expelled from the program after being accused of harassing Dania Mendez during a party. At various times during the night, the singer was seen running his hand over the body of the Mexican participant, even touching her butt a few times. You can see that she removes his hand every time. Sapato, on the other hand, gave a peck and immobilized Dania with force on top of a bed.

López and Carlota had a relationship inside the house and the man was caught taking advantage of a moment when she was drunk to abuse her on camera. The participant took Carlota’s clothes off while they were lying down and started making sexual movements under the duvet, while the victim asked him to stop and that she couldn’t do that.

The program’s team only intervened at the moment when Carlota’s inert face was discovered. The images were never aired, and the abuse was only publicized two years after the incident, when the Spanish press revealed that the day after the violence, the sister was even called to the confessional to see the images and cried a lot with the episode.
