MC Sabrina, owner of the hits “Dessa Vez”, “Bonde Passando” and “Ela Joga o Cabelo”, reappeared on social media last Sunday (16) after her name circulated on the web with a search campaign started by singer Pocah . Sabrina countered speculation.
“We came through this, to clarify that the slanderous accusations of ‘private imprisonment, and doping’ to MC Sabrina (Sabrina LuÃza de Souza) do not proceed”, says the clarification note on her Instagram profile.
The text also clarifies the truth about the diagnosis: “Few know, but Sabrina was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which she is being treated at SUS”. The funk artist had already revealed psychiatric hospitalization when she participated in the reality “Lucky ladies” with other MCs in 2015.
Later, Sabrina appeared on video in Stories defending her privacy. “A personal reason is a personal reason. An artistic reason, where we express our art, is always said,” she declared, sparing no comments about her disappearance. She also warned that she will return with musical projects.
This Monday (17), MC shared a medical report from the Psychiatric Center of Rio de Janeiro (CPRJ). The document shows that Sabrina started attending in 2017 and has been hospitalized since then, in addition to having regular medical follow-up.
Maria Luiza, mother of MC Sabrina, told RecordTV Rio: “She had depression, due to many things that happened to her in the artistic world”. The MC did not comment in the interview.
