This six-episode series follows her Emma Averill, a woman who seems – at least on the outside – to have a pretty dreamy life. She has a great career as a lawyer, two beautiful children and a wonderful husband. A few weeks before her 40th birthday, Emma stops sleeping…just like her mother did at the same age!
Just like her mother did, in fact, before she had a violent psychotic episode on the night of her own 40th birthday.
And here the questions that arise are many. Is sleep deprivation making Emma paranoid? Has she inherited her mother’s “bad blood”? Is someone maliciously trying to destroy her?
Or is there another explanation for the strange things that keep happening around her? There is only one way to solve the mystery: Emma must dig deep into the events of her painful past in an attempt to prevent tragedy from striking a second time.
