What you need to know about Drops Of God? Adapted for television by Franco-Vietnamese writer Quoc Dang Tran (Call My Agent), the series begins at a time when the world of gastronomy and fine wines is mourning: Alexandre Léger, creator of the famous Léger Wine Guide and iconic figure in oenology , passed away at his home in Tokyo at the age of 60.
His daughter Camille – who lives in Paris – has seen her father since her parents divorced when she was nine. But when she flies to Japan and reads Léger’s will, she discovers that he has left her an extraordinary collection of wines.
So extraordinary, in fact, that experts have described it as the largest collection in the world.
However, there is a catch. In order to claim her inheritance, Camille must compete with a brilliant young oenologist, Issei Tomine. Which will be especially difficult for her, considering that she knows nothing about wine and has never drunk a drop of it.

“Biological daughter vs. spiritual son: the duel is about to begin,” the official synopsis promises. “There are three tests to break the tie, all related to wine tasting. The winner will take ownership of the Léger empire, the loser will walk away empty-handed.” The stakes have never been higher, honestly.
This trilingual series (English, French and Japanese) stars Fleur Geffrier as Camille Léger and Tomohisa Yamashita as Issei Tomine. They are joined by Makiko Watanabe, Satoshi Nikaido, Antoine Chappey, Tom Wozniczka, Diego Ribon, Gustave Kernern and many more talented stars.

Speaking about the project, executive producer Anne Thomopoulos tells Broadcast that the “particularity” of the wine world and the perhaps “unlikely pairing” of Franco-Japanese cultures, blends beautifully with the “universality of a family drama.” Thus, it presents a premium series with recognizable themes, both for buyers and viewers.
“Gastronomy and ideas about the production and value of food are things that people have a lot more contact with,” says Thomopoulos.
Drops Of God will be available to stream via Apple TV+ on April 21st. Do not lose it!
