Following the letter dated March 9, 2023 from the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Banking Association regarding the will of its member banks to write off loan obligations from mortgage or personal loan contracts (consumer cards), for the families of the victims of the Tempe accident (spouse, adult or minor children, parents), EET, in today’s announcement, states that it provides the beneficiaries with the possibility to submit, until September 15, 2023, a relevant request to the email address [email protected].

The request should bear the indication Beneficiary and include:

a) full details of the applicant (name, surname, VAT number and social security number, social security number, residential address, any email address, contact phone number, partner bank or banks, origin/type of debt)

b) Certificate of next of kin

c) Registry act of death of the deceased

d) Any available certification of a public body, from which it can be seen that the applicant falls under the protection measures of article 57 of Law 5039/2023, such as, for example, cancellation of debts by AADE, application for the award of a pension

e) If the application is submitted through a proxy, electronic authorization through the govgr application (https://www.gov.gr) from the applicant to his proxy, as well as the above contact details of the applicant and his proxy

f) Express statement by the applicant that he agrees with the receipt and transmission of his application and the supporting documents attached to it by EET to the Bank or Banks of his cooperation, as well as the further processing of his request by the Bank/s and subsequently the Bank’s communication with the beneficiary

g) if the applicant is a minor, the request must be submitted by his/her legal representative
