Stress on Sunday too? This is how you will deal with the Sunday Night Blues |

I always loved Friday. In my mind it was the most relaxed day of the week. It was quite close to the weekend and quite far from Sunday and Monday.

I think I never loved Sundays. Unlike other people, Sundays made me anxious about the coming week and all the things that need to be done until the coveted Friday comes again.

Sunday usually lasted until noon and then Monday’s stress started.

If you have also experienced this Sunday stress, then maybe you are not very calm until the weekend comes to an end.

And although I know that it is impossible to get rid of the source of your anxiety (it can not be every day Saturday, unfortunately) there are some ways to mitigate it, while doing things that will not add further stress to your week but instead will reduce.

One of the best anxiolytics is cleansing and tidying up. Yes, it’s definitely not the most exciting of Sunday night activities, but it can be amazingly effective. For two reasons.

On the one hand, cleaning and tidying up will help you relax in a crowded and clean place, but it will also remove from your list a job that needs to be done during the week.

Clutter is a source of stress for many of us – studies have shown that people who live in cluttered homes experience elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol – so it makes sense that clutter can help you feel calmer.

However, this is not the only reason why fitness can be such an effective tool in combating stress.

The whole process of adjusting could effectively help reduce stress. In a recent survey of 2,000 adults by Healthspan, nearly a quarter of respondents said that organizing something or settling down was a strategy they use when they feel anxiety, stress or intense stress.

“In times of increased uncertainty, getting organized and organized can help us feel more in control of our lives,” explains Dr Meg Arroll, an approved Healthspan psychologist.

In addition to giving you a greater sense of control, tidying up can also be a great source of light exercise, which is known for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety.

So if you are looking for a quick and easy way to relieve the stress you feel for the coming week, tidying up and cleaning up are your allies.

A! Add some music… It will work wonders!
