Luana Piovani gave an interview to the program Domingo Espetacular (Record), on Sunday (23), and stated that she suffers from anxiety attacks after the start of the legal battle with her ex-husband Pedro Scooby. Passing through Brazil, the actress also reported having suffered procedural violence from a judge.
At the most recent hearing, which took place in Portugal, where Luana moved with Scooby four years ago, the actress claims that she suffered several constraints. “A horrible thing happened. I entered the room, it was a judge, a woman, who embarrasses me when she talks about the Portuguese minimum wage, as if she lived based on that salary there or as if our standard of living was based on some kind of minimum wage”.
She said that, at the time, she faced a crisis in front of the magistrate and Scooby, and that this has occurred since the beginning of the disagreements.
“I feel an accelerated heartbeat, sweating, confusion of thoughts and shortness of breath. When I started to have tachycardia and the crisis, I organized myself and said ‘I’m not going to let myself down’. So I opened my legs, left my spine erect and organized my breathing,” he said.
In the interview, Maria Câmara, Luana’s lawyer, explains that procedural violence can be practiced either by the parties involved in a process or by judges, prosecutors and lawyers. “In the case of the judiciary, it can have intimidating and embarrassing behavior when it allows abusive conduct by one of the parties against the others.”
The actress also said that the most challenging period of her life was during the whole process, when she realized that the friction with her ex-husband was slipping into the three children that the ex-couple have together: Dom, 11, and the twins Bem and Liz.
“My eldest son feels it more, it hurt me deeply. I have that memory, I know I like it because I lived through the separation of my parents.”
