Singer Adele got emotional when talking about the divorce in an interview with the latest edition of “Carpool Karaoke”, a popular segment of “The Late Late Show With James Corden”. Released this Monday (24), on the attraction’s YouTube, the British artist talks with the presenter – and a personal friend – about life changes.
According to her, the presenter and his wife, Julia Carey, helped her to better face the divorce process with Simon Konecki. “It was the first year I felt like I had to take responsibility for being an adult. The year before that, I left Simon and everything. But you and Jules and the kids were so dedicated to taking care of me and Angelo. [filho dela com Simon]and I remember you used to do it in a good mood,” she recalls.
Then Adele burst into tears. “You’ve always been like an adult to me-you and Julia-and you’ve always advised me,” she added, wiping her face. Corden was also moved by the moment and the British woman remembered when she was consulted by him, when she did not feel well at home. “You looked down, you didn’t feel strong,” she detailed.
Adele and Simon Konecki divorced in September 2019.
