“Indeed, on the record Belafonte recorded with Nana for RCA in 1965, we heard him sing in our language as well, from “Erini” to Manos Hadjidaki. Then it was taped for American television and the video we show you here through the internet. Nana Mouschouri, without an eyebrow between the host, the great Danny Kai (1911-1987) and the guest Harry Belafonte (1927- 25/4/2023), sings “Get up and dance my doll”, the great success of Stelios Kazantzidis with stray music that Stelios signed as his own and the lyrics of Eftychia Papagiannopoulou, to which extra American ones are added here. George Petsilas, a member of the “Trio Kanzone” and “Athenians” and Nana’s first husband, participates in the orchestra” remembers George Papastefanou.
