Understand why Piqué would have decided to spend less time with the children he has with Shakira

The separation between Shakira, 46, and Gerard Piqué, 36, is about to complete a year – the announcement took place in June 2022 –, but it continues to give rise to conflicts between the former couple. The most recent clash between the two would have happened because of the visitation time for the children to which Piqué is entitled. The former player would have gone to the United States last Wednesday (26), but would not spend the ten days with his children as defined in the agreement made with his ex-wife, according to journalists from the Spanish podcast Mamarazzis.

The trip planned by the former football player would have been shortened to five or six days. “Shakira is making things difficult for him”, said the Spanish journalists, and, given the situation, Piqué would have decided to spend fewer days with Sasha and Milan, the couple’s children. “Things are now at a very complicated point and the relationship between Gerard and Shakira is very strained”, explained the Mamarazzis.

But, if the agreement defines the minimum of ten days per month, why would he have to shorten the trip to five or six? There is an explanation. Piqué would have stayed with the children until April 2, a Sunday, the date on which Shakira left Barcelona, Spain, and moved to Miami, in the United States. Those first two days of April, then, would have been “computed” within the ten days a month to which Piqué is entitled to see them.

There is a possibility, according to the Mamarazzis, that the former player acquires a property in Miami to be with his children on these trips or even make changes to the agreement with Shakira. For now, he must stay in hotels during his stay in the United States.
