Fitness influencer Tiago Toguro, 34, who in March was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Linha Amarela (RJ), was indicted for manslaughter, according to information from the 21st DP (Bonsucesso).
In addition, two people heard during the investigation will answer for false testimony. The case was sent to court.
The Civil Police had already launched an inquiry to investigate the causes of the accident. At the time, a man collided with the rear of the influencer’s car.
Toguro, who has more than 6 million followers on social networks, denied that he had any involvement in what happened during the early hours of Friday (3). The main reason for the investigation was to find out if he backed up at the moment when he had supposedly missed the entrance to an avenue.
When contacted, Toguro did not respond. But in the week of the incident, through social networks, he had already given his version and said that he never made such a maneuver, but that he could not give many details due to the guidance of his lawyers.
“I can say that from the moment of the accident, I stayed at the scene, I waited for the victim to receive medical care, I made myself available to the authorities so that the blood alcohol test and toxic substances could be carried out. I waited for the police to carry out the technical expertise Civil and I was released.”
The influencer said he had already maintained contact with the motorcyclist’s family and was in favor of an agreement.
