Andros has been impressing the Romanian TV audience lately, through the popular show “Cap Compas”, the oldest and most established travel show on Romanian TV, with destinations from all over the world and an emphasis on history, culture, tradition , gastronomy and authenticity.

The extensive episode about Andros highlights the island’s unique architecture, picturesque villages, crystal clear waters, wild natural beauty, extensive walking network, monasteries, gastronomy and rich cultural heritage.

The episode filmed last summer at the initiative of the Romanian EOT Office in collaboration with the Municipality of Andros and the support of the CTN Andros network.

It is noted that each new “Cap Compas” show premieres on the second channel of the Romanian state television, TVR2, and is then rebroadcast on the rest of the network’s channels in Romania and Moldova. It is estimated that in a period of 3 months each show is shown dozens of times.

According to the estimates of tourism factors from the international tourism exhibition in Bucharest, Greece is expected to be a favorite destination for Romanian travelers in 2023. “We are implementing targeted actions to strengthen the extroversion of Andros in established as well as new markets. A remarkable dynamic is already being observed for the destination in 2023 which will continue in the coming months”, said the mayor of Andros, Dimitris Lotsaris.
