Justice blocked MC Gui’s accounts. He was ordered to pay compensation for moral damages to app driver Alef Santos da Conceição. In 2020, the singer accused the boy of stealing his bags with objects for donation during a race.
The driver, in turn, reported that he accepted the race, but there was no one at the place where the luggage was supposed to be delivered. Alef also said he waited for about 10 minutes and promised to deliver the bags to the app’s headquarters. “Thief of swag and basic food baskets”, the funk artist would have said in a video posted on MC Gui’s social networks.
In 2021, Justice determined that MC Gui should pay compensation of R$ 12,000, but the funkeiro’s lawyer filed an appeal, which was denied. At the time, the singer’s defense also tried to negotiate payment in 12 installments, but the victim refused the offer.
After all the appeals, the value of R$ 12,000, with interest and corrections, rose to R$ 19,576.94 and, according to columnist Fábia Oliveira, the driver’s defense then asked for the attachment of the singer’s accounts. MC Gui had the amount of BRL 79,724.28 blocked in his account on May 9 of this year. The judge in charge understood that the singer will have to be subpoenaed to file an objection, even though the amount of the pledge was above the amount due. O F5 sought advice from MC Gui and got no response.
