Netflix has confirmed that the “Squid Game: The Challenge» will debut in November. Officials announced the news during an event, revealing that there are plenty of twists and turns to come as the fictional series turns into reality.

Netflix’s vice president said: “The Squid Game conquered the world with director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic visuals. We are grateful for his support as we “turn” the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment.

Fans of the show will be treated to an exciting and unpredictable journey as 456 ‘real world’ contestants experience major twists and turns while the biggest prize money of all time awaits.».

The announcement comes four months after it was revealed that angry contestants who took part in the new reality show were considering legal action against Netflix.

In January, dozens of players blasted the production, claiming they were “treated like animals” and forced to stand for hours in freezing temperatures as filming began at the Cardington TV studios in Bedford.

Meanwhile, two contestants were reportedly kicked off the show before filming even started after they broke production rules by having sex in the hotel they were staying at.

“We were tortured for eight hours. “I knew the game was going to be tough, but this whole experience was inhuman,” one player told The Sun.

“At one point I saw that they were bringing in a black coffin with a pink ribbon, just like in the original series. I feel like they were prioritizing getting a good shot over helping us.” Another player claimed people were “dropping like flies” due to the cold weather.

The reality series will consist of ten episodes. The Squid Game became the most-watched program on Netflix in 2021, attracting 142 million viewers in its first month, nearly double the previous record held by Bridgerton.
