- Iris Awards 2023: Screenings of this year’s nominated films at the Astor Cinema
Just before this year’s Awards Ceremony Iris Film Awardsthe Hellenic Film Academy invites us from Monday 5 to Sunday 11 June at the Astor cinema, to see what nominated films. In a week of Greek cinema, the Athenian audience has the opportunity to enjoy in their natural environment, the movie theater, a total of 35 fiction, documentary and animation films, long and short, that are vying for a golden Iris statuette. The 2023 Iris Awards will be awarded on Tuesday, June 27 at the Onassis Foundation Building, with actresses Natasha Exintaveloni and Lila Baklesis as presenters, directed by Constantis Fragopoulos.

- Film Vision: Two films with one ticket every night at Asty cinema
The most important films screened and awarded in Cannes, Venice and Berlin Festivals, but also those that reached the Oscars as well as the classics that still fascinate us, are included in this year’s edition of Tainiorama, which takes place from May 25 to June 21 at the Asty Cinema. The cinephile audience will have the opportunity to watch two films every day with a single ticket for the price of €5. Saturday, June 3, at 18:30 the movie “Drive my Car” by Ryusuke Hamaguchi will be screened and at 21:00 the movie “Close” by Lucas Dott. On Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. the film “Himeria Narki” directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan will be shown and at 9:00 p.m. the film “The Pearl Paddle” by Patricio Guzman. On Monday, June 5, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., the film “Paterson” by Jim Jarmusch and at 9:00 p.m. the film “The Other Side of Hope” by Aki Kaurismaki will be shown.

- Nature-O-Therapy: A different exhibition of the international artist Platon.H at the Historical Archive Museum of Hydra
To Platon.H (Plato Alexis Hatzimichalis), the exhibition is dedicated “Nature-O-Therapy” 1995-2023 Athens, London, Paris, Hanoi, Brussels, Rabat, Hydra, hosting, June 3-30, the Historical Archive Museum of Hydra. The completely original works that the artist presents, he has created exclusively with materials and elements that he has drawn from nature. Platon.H’s artistic gaze is almost permanently focused on the miraculous natural creations, from which he is inspired, then transforming the natural materials into courageous works, sometimes sculptures, compositions, constructions or sometimes photographs, always through a completely unconventional approach. It praises nature in a creative and therapeutic interaction with art, which also gave the eloquent title to the exhibition at the Historical Archive Museum of Hydra.
