Jeff Machado: Suspect in the death claims that Bruno doped actor with juice and demanded passwords

In police custody, five days after being arrested by the Rio de Janeiro Whereabouts Discovery Police Station, Jeander Vinícius da Silva Braga gave a new statement about his participation in the death of Jeff Machado.

To the authorities, the program boy provided more details of his relationship with Bruno Rodrigues, the other suspect in the crime. Bruno is a TV producer and former employee of Globo, he is on the run and is considered the mastermind of the crime by the police. He approached Jeff in 2019 with the promise that he would help him land soap opera roles.

In the new statement, confirmed by the police to the F5Jeander stated that he met Bruno two years ago and that, in December, the producer got in touch with him to carry out a work on a house in Campo Grande, west of the city —place where, later, the actor’s body would be concreted to two meters deep.

A week before the crime, which took place on January 23, Jeander would have dug a hole in the backyard at Bruno’s request, after he said he was going to install a water tank there.

Already on the day of the murder, Bruno would have called Jeander stating that a friend would be interested in a program. That friend would be Jefferson and the three met at the artist’s house. According to the police report, Jeff was doped before the crime.

The suspect also said that Bruno put something in the victim’s drink when he made a juice, before going up to the bedroom. At this point, according to him, Jeff was surprised by the bitter taste and asked if his friend had put something. The producer denied it.

Once upstairs, Jeander said he exchanged caresses with Jeff – the autopsy points out that the victim had sexual intercourse before he died, and that the strangulation may have occurred when he positioned himself with his back to the killer.

With Jeff already numb, Bruno would have pretended to talk on the phone with a soap opera producer and asked the actor to pass on passwords and emails, after saying that he got him a role in a production.

After the dialogue, the producer would have proposed recording a sex video. According to the police, at that moment, Jeander left the room but did not explain where he was and said that, when he returned to the room, he found Jeff already dead in bed next to Bruno.

The call boy said that he would have emptied a trunk, at the behest of Rodrigues, to put the body. They then went to the house in Campo Grande, 20 kilometers from Jeff’s residence. On the way, they came across a Military Police blitz, but they broke through the blockade. The action resulted in a fine.
