British actor Tom Holland (Tom Holland) in an interview with Extra said he will take a break from acting for a year after he had a “tough time” in his last role and “bent”.

It is noted that the famous actor stars in and produces the AppleTV miniseries “The Crowded Room”, inspired by the true story of Billy Milligan who, after his arrest in the late 1970s for kidnapping, rape and armed robbery, and the psychiatric evaluation, he was diagnosed with 24 distinct personalities. His trial on December 4, 1978 was the first in which a defendant was found not guilty of the crimes by reason of insanity based on dissociative identity disorder.

“I’m no stranger to hard work,” the actor said. “I have always lived by the idea that hard work is good work. On the other hand, the series bent me. There came a time when I needed a break and I disappeared. I went to Mexico for a week, to a beach and calmed down. Now I’m taking a year off and that’s a result of how difficult this series has been,” the star added. “I’m excited to see how it develops. I feel like our hard work hasn’t gone to waste.”

Holland stars alongside Amanda Seyfried, Sasha Lane, Will Chase and Henry Eikenberry.

“It was definitely a tough time,” the famous actor said of the shoot. “We were exploring certain emotions that I certainly had never experienced in conjunction with being a producer and dealing with the day-to-day problems that arise on any film set. It was an extra level of pressure.”

The new 10-episode series will premiere on June 9.
