The official trailer of the film “Poor Things” by Giorgos Lanthimos was released five years after the debut of the award-winning “Fang”.

The premiere of “Poor Things” by Searchlight Pictures is expected on September 8 and stars Emma Stone(Emma Stone), Willem Dafoe(Willem Dafoe) and Mark Ruffalo(Mark Ruffalo).

Based on the novel by the Scotsman Alistair Gray (Alistair Gray) published in 1992 and adapted by the playwright Tony McNamara (Tony McNamara), the film tells the incredible story of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman who is brought back to life by the genius and unconventional scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Dafoy).

Hungry for the worldliness she lacks, she hits it off with Duncan Wedderburn (Ruffalo), a slick and corrupt lawyer, on a continent-spanning adventure. Free from the prejudices of her time, Bella is ready to fight for equality and freedom.

The cast also includes actors Kathryn Hunter, Jerrod Carmichael, Christopher Abbott, Margaret Qualley and Ramy Youssef.

It is noted that this is the award-winning actress’s third collaboration with the great Greek creator after the 2018 period drama “The Favourite”, for which she won an Oscar nomination, and the short film “Vlihi” which was filmed in Tinos.
