AI served to inspire the sets, costumes and choreography.
Until July 8, the Leipziger Ballett ppresents to Oper Leipzig the FUSION, a multimedia classical dance production that pushes the boundaries between art and technology. The creation of the artist and technology expert Harry Yeff – also known as Reeps100 – this performance aims to present the world’s first AI ballet. Yeff used artificial intelligence tools such as DALL·E 2 and Midjourney to create a series of fictional dancers based on the portraits of the 35 international dancers involved in the production.
Additionally, AI served to inspire the sets, costumes and choreography. FUSION’s narrative delves into the complex interplay of humans, artificial intelligence, and nature. Guided by Mario Schroder’s choreography and Paul Zoller’s sets, the ballet explores the hypnotic mix of light, water and shadows.

Harry Yeff uses his own voice, which acts as a catalyst for exploration, accompanied by synthesized voices that contribute to the eerie musical landscape.
