They were two friends from school who were united by their love for music. With a dream to make their songs famous o Andrew Ringelly and George Michael were introduced as “Wham” and became one of the most beloved British duos in music history, selling more than 30 million records worldwide.
This year marks 40 years since the release of their self-titled debut album “Fantastic”, which reached No. 1 in the UK. Netflix will air a 92-minute documentary simply titled ‘Wham’, which will unravel the golden but short-lived magic period from 1982 until ‘The Final’ farewell concert in front of 72,000 fans on June 28, 1986 in London.
Produced by John Bachek and Simon Halfon, the musical tribute includes previously unknown excerpts from interviews and statements as well as a wealth of material from the two artists’ personal archives.
