Flora Gil says that Preta Gil was the victim of a medical error before discovering cancer

Even before the singer Preta Gil, 48, found out that she would have to face a battle against bowel cancer, she was already suffering from some symptoms that made her feel sick.

And it was during a family tour, months before the diagnosis, that she didn’t feel well and had to go to a hospital in Berlin, Germany. This tour will be featured on the Prime Video reality show Viajando com os Gil, with its premiere scheduled for the 30th.

However, as explained by Flora Gil, Gilberto Gil’s wife, reported by Notícias da TV, the singer would have been the victim of a medical error, since the doctor on duty was unable to say what the causes of Preta’s health problem were.

“We didn’t know that Preta was sick, despite the fact that she had been feeling bad in two or three cities. She was very strong in disguising that pain”, began Flora.

“When she [Preta] If you’re old, you’ll think: ‘I was hospitalized in Berlin and the doctor said I had gas’. Preta could say: ‘Guys, I’m leaving, I didn’t like it’. But she went all the way. Then came the result [dos exames], we saw what was the cause of her discomfort. That meant a lot to us,” he added.

In the final stretch of treatment for the disease, the singer announced via social media that she would return to the stage. She has already performed in Rio and will have shows in cities like BH, São Paulo and Salvador with the entire Gil family.
