Billie EilishThe Lenny Kravitz or even John Baptiste are among the artists who will participate in tomorrow’s show concert for the planet to be given in Parison the sidelines of an international summit organized at the initiative of the French president, Emmanuel Macron.

Artists HER, FINNEAS (Billie Eilish’s brother and collaborator, who also has a solo career) and Mosiman will also take part in the free events planned for Champ de Mar.

This park, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, had in 2021 already welcomed a multitude of stars under the auspices of the non-governmental organization Global Citizen, including Elton John.

The superstar of the night is the Grammy Award winner, 21-year-old Billie Eilish. The California star is known for her commitment to the environment. She has given up private flights and her 2022 tour “Happier Than Ever”from the title of her latest album, proposes eco-villages that promote environmental charities.

Under the title “Power Our Planet: Live in Paris”, this artistic event will turn the spotlight on the summit that will be held tomorrow, Thursday, and the day after, Friday, in the French capital following the initiative of President Macron, for a “new global financial pact” aimed at addressing the challenge of climate change.

Future generations are inheriting a planet devastated by climate change“, notes Lenny Kravitz in a Global Citizen announcement. “We have the power to change things through our voices and actions (…) act today to save tomorrow“, continues the performer of “Are you gonna go my way”.

The singer and guitarist will appear, like the other stars featured on the poster, in a small format, with only a few songs, in this show scheduled for 19:00 to 23:30.

Global Citizen expects around 20,000 viewers. Entry is free, as long as one pledges on the NGO’s website to provide an action against poverty or for the environment.

This artistic event in Paris, organized in partnership with the municipality of Paris and produced by Live Nation, the world’s largest concert promoter, will be broadcast online (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon Music’s Twitch, Apple Music, Apple TV, iHeartRadio, 9Now, CSTAR, SABC, TNT, Veeps, Global Citizen app).

For “Power Our Planet: Live in Paris”, the famous actresses Diane Kruger or the Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh have also been recruited, who will take the floor between the musicians’ performances.

Yeo said she was “thrilled to support” this event “so that we can all demand climate justice together”. Michelle Yeoh is already a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

There will be no climate transition on a global scale unless we fight for more justice and equality,” warned Emmanuel Macron, whose statement is also cited by Global Citizen in its announcement.
