What the alleged perpetrator claimed
At noon on Sunday, the 22-year-old alleged perpetrator of the double murder was brought to the Kalamata police station.

He also claims that he did not carry a gun, did not shoot with it himself. He was out in the car. He also claims that we implicated the natural perpetrator in an act of extortion.”
At another point in his statements, Dimitris Gavelas said that “there was no acquaintance of my principal with any person from the two victims, to whose families we owe our condolences”.
In addition, the testimony revealed that he believes that the victim’s nephew recognized not his own clothes, but the clothes worn by his co-accused.
