Sylvester Stallone a few years ago played one of the most famous characters in the world of cinema, Rocky Balboa.

A role that was not at all easy for the actor since in order to conquer it he indulged in strict diets and changes in his daily life to the extent that this had direct serious effects on his health.

“I drank about 25 cups of coffee a day when I was doing Rocky 3,” the actor told the Wall Street Journal of his routine in preparation for the 1982 film.

“My entire breakfast would be maybe two – small – oatmeal cookies made with brown rice and 10 cups of coffee because I wanted to keep my body fat at 2.8 percent,” she added.

The strict diet he followed for the film revealed how it affected his memory. “I forgot my phone number. I was only eating tuna. My memory was completely gone… I suffered all kinds of debilitating physical effects. But it was for a purpose,” he said.

“I keep getting reflux so I have to cut back on it,” she added, talking about her excessive coffee consumption.
