Paul McCartney responded -relatively late- to the reactions and rumors about the “new” Beatles songwhich is a demo of it John Lennon and as he announced, it was recorded with the help of artificial intelligence.

In announcing this ‘new’ track a few weeks ago in an interview with the BBC he had made it clear – although he hadn’t really revealed much – that this is a Lennon song that they had been working on and was now ready to release.

We were able to isolate John’s voice and make it clearer thanks to artificial intelligence. So we were able to mix the record like we normally would“, specifically mentioned the famous singer – and yet there was no shortage of reactions.

Due to the general uproar surrounding the use of artificial intelligence and in particular what it could mean for the music industry – there are fears that AI could ‘steal’ jobs – many assumed that Paul McCartney’s announcement meant that they used artificial intelligence to create a song from scratch with Lennon’s voice, just like the anonymous artist Ghostwriter did earlier this year with the track “Heart on My Sleeve”, which featured vocals from Drake and the Weeknd.

But as McCartney explained, this is not such a case.
