In the first five games with the Lakers jersey, he has been “bombing” the opposing baskets of his opponents as he has lined up, 26, 25, 51, 41, and 28 pointshelping his team to three wins.
Those numbers put him in the same proposition as one of the greatest players of all time, Kobe Bryant, who was his team’s last player Los Angeles (to date) who managed to score at least 25 points in each of the first five games of the regular season.
Specifically, in November 2005 he had scored 33, 39, 37 (twice) and 28 pointsin a year when his team made the first round of the playoffs and was eliminated by Phoenix.
Next Saturday the 27-year-old guard against Memphis has a date with history as he can become the first Lakers player to score at least 25 points in the first six games.
