Models rise from the ground like “male flowers or homme fleurs” adorned with vibrant colors.
Once again, Mr Kim Jonescreative director of the fashion house, collaborated with Villa Eugenie in a Dior collection show.
The show for her men’s collection Spring-Summer 2024 took place in École Militaire in Paris and models rose from the ground of a purpose-built structure designed by the events and production company.
Inside the gray box-shaped structure that had been installed at the military school, Villa Eugénie had placed a metal-grid floor and tiered rows of seats under a lightbox on the ceiling. As the lights dimmed to signal the start of the show, 51 panels on the grid floor began to glow and retract to reveal hatches from each of which a model emerged.
In the show notes, Dior described the presentation as a “metallic garden” with models rising from the ground like “male flowers or homme fleurs” decked out in the vibrant colors of the SS24 collection and floral-inspired quotients. “A collage of influences and pop iconography takes shape within a mechanical garden of ‘homme fleurs’, simultaneously embracing tradition and subversion” they noted.
