From Barbie to Narnia? Publications want the Greta Gerwig, shortly before the release of the highly anticipated new film in theaters, to direct a new film adaptation of the book series by K.S. Lewis, “The Chronicles of Narnia,” for Netflix.
Although no official announcement has been made, Gerwig, who recently starred in the Netflix film White Noise alongside Adam Driver, has long been rumored to be taking on the project. As The New Yorker magazine reports in an article about Mattel’s “Hollywood” ambitions, Gerwig has agreed to direct two films of the “Narnia” franchise.
When Netflix acquired ‘Narnia’
