Two of the biggest music festivals in the country, Ejekt and Primer, join forces this summer to bring to Greece, one of the world’s leading DJs, the “weakness” of the Greek public, Peggy Gou.

The “world’s coolest DJ”, according to Vogue, returns to Athens this year Saturday, July 8 for a big concert at the Tae Kwon Do stadium and we’re already getting into Gou-mania rhythms.

So while we are counting down the days (three today), we have gathered in one list everything you need to know about Peggy Gou, to prepare you too for what you will experience at her long-awaited live in Athens.

  • Each of her shows is also different

“It depends on which city I’m playing, which club and with which other DJ, so I always choose different tracks from house, disco, house and techno,” she had already said from the beginning of her career in an interview with RedBull magazine. “It all depends on where I play and for whom. I usually always get an idea as soon as I get to the club or the festival – before I get to see the audience,” she says, although she always gets butterflies in her stomach when she finally faces the crowd. Her goal is to never lose those “butterflies”, but neither should the audience lose their enthusiasm, which is why each of her sets is original and fresh – without missing her greatest hits of course.

  • He doesn’t just play new tracks

Peggy Gou always plays fresh music, whether it’s a brand new release or a classic that’s still fresh in our ears. “I play about 70% regular records and 30% online tracks” she had said in an old interview. “I don’t just play new songs, I play old music and new music together and I think it’s very important to combine them.”
