Brad Pitt is determined to expel the Russian oligarch to whom the Angelina Jolie secretly sold her share of their $500 million French vineyard, according to Page Six. The famous actor is furious with him Yuri Shefler, for “taunting” him in court documents first revealed on Monday, July 10, 2023, calling him a “Hollywood amateur.” “He is now more determined than ever to get rid of the Russian,” the sources say.

Vodka mogul Shefler was officially designated an oligarch by the US Treasury in 2018. He then bought Jolie’s stake in Château Miraval in 2021.

Sources say Pitt sees Jolie’s sale as “vindictive” because his ex-wife knew she had previously turned down an overture from Shefler.

Shefler’s intention is to keep Pitt “decorative” at the company and use him as much as he can, but the actor has no choice but to try to oust him, according to people familiar with the legal dispute.

Before they married, the couple bought the estate together, with Pitt owning 60% and Jolie 40%. They brought in winemaker Marc Perrin, and he became one of the most recognized rosé producers in the world.

Château Miraval, where the couple tied the knot in 2014, became Pitt’s passion and gave Jolie an additional 10%. Sources say Shefler actually approached Pitt himself twice about buying Miraval, first in 2016 when the couple split and then in 2021 when their child custody dispute became public. But, sources close to Pitt say, when he politely turned them down, they snuck up on Jolie and the deal went ahead.
