The first appearance of an institution on the concept of Law in the history of Europe, the work that introduced the Areopagus as a term, as a concept and as an institution in history, the Eumenides, directed by Angela Bruscous, comes to the Amphitheater of the Old Olive Oil on 15 and 16 July , in the framework of the action Mysterio 35 Aeschylus Project ^. A legacy project of the 2023 Eleusis Cultural Capital of Europe, which returns for a second year to the birthplace of the great tragic poet, as an informal but explosive dialogue in the always alive and crucial to the contemporary issues of justice, humanism and politics Aeschylean Drama.

Every attempt will result in dismembered bodies and broken bones: Jan Martens and Dance On Ensemble at Piraeus 260
Inspired by the global wave of protest and the need for social solidarity and resistance to state repression, the pioneering Belgian choreographer and performer Jan Martens returns to the Athens and Epidaurus Festival after 2016, this time in collaboration with the Berlin group Dance On. The performance, entitled “Every attempt will result in dismembered bodies and broken bones”, is presented, July 14 and 15, 2023, at Piraeus 260. Based on the intensely rhythmic Harpsichord Concerto by the contemporary Polish composer Henryk Gurecki, the choreography is interspersed with pieces of protest from the 1960s to the present day from Max Roach and Abbey Lincoln to Kae Tempest.
