Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartnerreportedly needs her ex-husband’s consent to remove any item—except her personal belongings—from their home.

A judge ruled Friday morning, July 14, 2023, that the former handbag designer must have the actor’s consent before taking anything from their estate in Santa Barbara, California, according to TMZ.

The items reportedly include furniture, appliances, artwork and other items that may be in a warehouse. However, she can take her clothes, bags and jewelry whenever she wants.

The ruling comes a day after the 68-year-old actor, according to court documents, feared his estranged wife was “stealing” him.

The ‘Bodyguard’ star claimed his ex-wife had ‘shown a disturbing tendency in recent months, both before and after the separation, to take his property without his knowledge or consent, especially since the filing of the divorce application”.

He also accused Christine Baumgartner of paying her lawyer with an employee’s credit card, which is traditionally used for the family’s household expenses and paid for by the actor.

This isn’t the first time Kevin Costner has made such a claim. In June, according to court documents, he claimed his ex-wife charged $95,000 from his credit card to pay for lawyers and an accountant, even though he had already filed for divorce the previous month.
