Joe Manganiello officially filed for divorce from his leading lady “Modern Family”, Sofia Vergara. The former couple surprised their fans when they announced they were divorcing after seven years of marriage.

The “Magic Mike” actor, according to “TMZ,” cited irreconcilable differences, with the outlet claiming that Joe wanted children with the actress, who already has a son, 31-year-old Manolo Gonzalez Vergara.

Sofia and Joe have entered into a $100 million prenuptial agreement, which protects the assets they have both accumulated during their married years. The actress does not intend to challenge the agreement, which her husband signed before their marriage in May 2015.

Sofia Vergara is represented by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has worked with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Johnny Depp.

The TMZ report did not say who would benefit from the couple’s Beverly Hills home, which was relisted in June for $18 million, less than two months before their split was announced. The actress paid the $10.4 million needed to buy the seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom home in 2015, before their wedding. The mansion has a 10-seat cinema, a gym with a sauna and a cellar with 3,000 bottles of wine.

Sofia and Joe have reportedly bought a second home nearby, which is still under construction, but details of the deal are unknown, including whether it’s a joint investment.

As “Daily Mail” writes, Sofia Vergara did not wish to have another child. For the same issue, according to the outlet, she fought in court with her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, over their “frozen” embryos.

The 41-year-old businessman sued the actress after they split in 2014 in a bid to stop her from destroying the embryos. At the time, Sofia Vergara explained that she was not yet ready to start a family.
