Rapper A$AP Rocky was accused of promoting terrorism after he shared an image of himself wearing a ‘Z’ shaped pendant made of tanks.

The 34-year-old star “uploaded” this photo on Instagram, but soon received a barrage of comments from his fans, who accused him of supporting Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The rapper deleted his post within minutes, but the image had already made the rounds on the internet. His fans – and not only – accused him of supporting Vladimir Putin’s bombings in Ukraine by posting the image of the important symbol that is loaded with negative connotations.

The ‘Z’ symbol has been used by Putin and his troops to promote his war against Ukraine and the sign has been described as the equivalent of Hitler’s swastika, which his followers wrote in the comments. Some believe the symbol is a short version of “Za pobedu,” meaning “For Victory,” and have noted its similarity to the swastika, the symbol used by Nazi Germany in World War II, giving the “Z” the nickname “Putin’s swastika.”
