Elizângela is discharged and is now at home after complications from Covid-19

Actress Elizângela, 67, was released from the hospital after suffering complications from Covid-19. According to his manager, Lauro Santanna, he is already at home under the care of family members.

“She is already at home recovering. On Saturday (22) she was already in her room and well, but she was discharged the next day. She is very well”, he said, who did not confirm that she is using oxygen support.

The artist was hospitalized in a municipal hospital in the city of Guapimirim (RJ) with Covid sequelae. According to Lauro, she did not need to be intubated.

Asked if the actress was immunized against Covid, he said that he could not say, because he does not talk about it with her. Elizangela caused great repercussion at the end of 2020 when she spoke out against mandatory vaccination, which she compared to rape. Immunization against coronavirus in Brazil started in January 2021 and is not mandatory.

The artist did not publish any photos on social media receiving the immunizing agent as other artists did. “I never talked to her about any kind of illness, nothing. One day, she called me and said, ‘I just broke both wings.’

The actress went to the hospital for the first time on January 12. She received the diagnosis of Covid and was instructed to stay at home. On Wednesday night (19), she felt sick and went back to seek medical help, when she was hospitalized.

In December 2020, Elizangela sparked controversy on social media by posting an image on Instagram that said “forced penetration without consent is rape” with the drawing of a syringe. In the caption, she wrote “my body my rules”.
