The awards were originally scheduled for Sept. 18 but have been pushed back to mid-January 2024, Fox and the Television Academy announced in a joint statement.

The ceremony, broadcasting’s most important “date”, was last postponed in 2001 due to the September 11 attacks.
So far no compromise has been found between the screenwriters’ and actors’ unions and the major studios. Actors and screenwriters are demanding better pay and regulation of the use of artificial intelligence in the film industry.
