American actress Evan Rachel Wood, 34, has accused goth rocker Marilyn Manson, 53, of raping her on camera. The crime allegedly took place during the filming of the 2007 music video for “Heart-Shaped Glasses”.

Wood, star of the television series “Westworld,” made the accusations in the HBO documentary “Phoenix Rising.” The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

“We discussed a simulated sex scene, but once the cameras started rolling, he started to really penetrate me,” she said. “I never agreed to that.”

The former child actress started dating Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, in 2006. At the time, she was 18 and he was 37.

“I didn’t know how to defend myself and I didn’t know how to say no because I was conditioned and trained to never respond, just to move on,” Wood said. “I realized that the team was very uncomfortable and nobody knew what to do.”

“I was forced to participate in a commercial sex act under false pretenses,” she continued. “I was basically raped on camera.”

According to the documentary, Manson later pressured Wood into telling reporters that there was no actual sex during the recording of the video.

Wood’s mother remembers hearing from a staff member that Manson was giving Wood absinthe liqueur “and whatever”, and that she was in no condition to consent.

Representatives for Manson did not immediately respond to AFP’s request for comment.

Los Angeles police confirmed last year that they were investigating allegations of domestic violence against the singer.

Manson, who cultivates a controversial image and a stage name reminiscent of serial killer Charles Manson, has parted ways with record label Loma Vista Recordings and Hollywood agency CAA since the allegations became public. But he continues to record music, and last year he was featured on Kanye West’s “Donda” album.

The documentary “Phoenix Rising” showcases the efforts of Wood and other sexual abuse survivors to extend the statute of limitations on these crimes and give them more time to seek justice after the abuse.
