Internet users suggest the creation of the Larissa Manoela Law to help young artists manage careers

The statements by Larissa Manoela, 22, to Fantástico (Globo) about how her parents managed her career until she was 18 have still stirred the artist’s fans. In this way, the term “Lei Larissa Manoela” ended up in first place among the most commented subjects on social networks.

Internet users have suggested the creation of a law that benefits and helps child artists, as the actress once was, not to have any damage to their careers.

“Congress needs to pass a law that regulates and limits the work of child artists; that protects their leisure time and education; that obliges parents to have to pay and register annual accounts; that obliges a savings account that will be theirs at age 18” , posted the profile of Idalecio Freitas, quickly shared by others.

The idea spread over the internet and encouraged a reflection on the possibility. “In a retrospective of Fantástico in the future, they will remember how the approval of the Larissa Manoela Law was, which began after the report so that the next child prodigies are not exploited by their parents”, posted Nandaloriana’s profile.

Larissa Manoela’s career was previously led by her parents, Silvana and Gilberto. The actress, then, decided to take control at the age of 18 and said that taking the reins of work and financial life was making her mature.

She was dissatisfied with some decisions made by her father and mother, including about her personal life. Her parents would not have been happy with the breakup and, in the midst of disagreements, would have sold one of their homes in Orlando, in the United States, without her consent, which was denied by them.

On Globo’s Sunday program, the actress told her version of how her parents would have supposedly been left with a fortune of R$ 18 million and would only give her an allowance. She also showed audios of requests for some money to be able to buy simple things like ice cream or corn on the beach.

“Any type of payment I had to ask for authorization. I just wanted to understand how the financial issue was,” he said. Larissa’s statements stirred celebrities who came to her defense.

When she asked to see her company’s contracts, Larissa discovered that she was only entitled to 2% of the business’ income, while her parents held the other 90%. After that, in May of this year, Larissa announced that she would open her own company to manage all her contracts.

“My decision to give up my business is the certainty that my path will bring me great achievements. I’m only 22 years old”, said Larissa to reporter Renata Capucci.
